What is airAlert?

airAlerts is a free service provided by the Council for those with respiratory conditions to manage their health when air quality is poor.

Air pollution levels in Runnymede are generally low, however, roughly 20 days per year pollution reaches a level that is capable of causing short term health symptoms for people with pre-existing respiratory conditions.

People who register for the free service receive an email, text or voicemail message informing them of an expected elevation of air pollution in their area for the following day

. This enables users to make choices about how they can stay in control of their own health.
