Good afternoon
I would like to take this opportunity to bring to your attention some work that we’ve been notified of and is not being carried out by Surrey Highways.
There is a major scheme about to take place in the Ottershaw and Rowtown wards. The works are being carried out by H&MV Engineering on behalf of the Ark data centre.
The works are taking a 132kv power connection from West Weybridge Substation to The Ark data centre in Longcross studios. The Approximate route length is 12.5km.
The works will be carried out in two Phases.
The first phase is to lay the cable ducts which, will take approximately 54 weeks from start to finish. They will be conducted in three work fronts. All works will be in the carriageway and will require positive traffic management which, will include some road closures, multiway and two temporary traffic lights.
The second phase, will follow the trenching works and should take approximately 25 weeks this is to install the High voltage cables and the jointing of said cables, this needs to be carried out with multiple excavation at the same time.
